Cimicifuga Chocaholic

Cimicifuga ‘Chocoholic’ (now often classified under the genus Actaea) is a striking perennial known for its deep bronze-purple foliage and tall, graceful flower spikes. It is also known as Bugbane or Baneberry. The plant features elegant, bottlebrush-like blooms in shades of pink to white that appear in late summer to early autumn, providing a beautiful contrast against the dark leaves. It thrives in partial to full shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil, making it a popular choice for woodland gardens and shaded borders. ‘Chocoholic’ is also appreciated for its ability to attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies.
