Cranberry ‘Early Black’
vaccinium macrocarpon ‘Pilgrim’ . Low growing evergreen with leathery leaves and cascading habit. Small pink flowers appear in spring, followed by tart red berries. The fruits of ‘Early Black’ aren’t actually black – starting off bright red they ripen to a deep purple-red that could easily be mistaken for black.These can be used in a wide range of dishes, including a traditional cranberry sauce.
