Cotoneaster Franchetii 50-80CM

Cotoneaster franchetii, commonly known as Franchet’s Cotoneaster or Shrub Cotoneaster, is a semi-evergreen (or evergreen in milder, sheltered situations) shrub that belongs to the Rosaceae family. Native to western China, it is widely cultivated for its ornamental features. The shrub typically grows to a height of 2.5 meters and has a spreading, arching habit.

Shrub Cotoneaster is characterized by small, oval-shaped, soft grey-green leaves. Clusters of small, white flowers appear in late spring to early summer, followed by red/dark orange berries in autumn. These berries persist into winter, adding colour and attracting birds to the garden.

This hardy and adaptable shrub is often used for hedging, screening, or as a specimen plant in gardens and landscapes. It thrives in well-drained soil and can tolerate a range of growing conditions, including full sun to shade, strong winds and coastal salt spray. With its attractive foliage, flowers, and berries, Cotoneaster franchetii is a popular choice for adding visual appeal to gardens throughout the seasons.
