lagerstroemia indica ‘rosea’, ‘Crape Myrtle Rosea’. Small, upright, fast growing, often multi-stemmed deciduous tree. Bark on young shoots olive green, later grey-green to distinctly red-brown, ornamental, it peels off decoratively in wide strips. Leaves are dark green, autumn colour yellow, orange to red. Flowers in large, upright panicles, double, with crepe-paper like petals, dark pink in colour. Flowering period: July-September.
