Aralia elata, commonly known as the angelica tree or devil’s walking stick, is a deciduous shrub or small tree native to East Asia. It features very large bipinnate leaves at the tips of stout, spiny stems. In late summer, it produces clusters of small, white flowers, followed by dark purple-black berries. The tree is known for its spiny stems and is often used ornamentally for its dramatic foliage. Aralia elata thrives in well-drained soil and can grow up to 10 meters tall.
