Gloriosa rotschildiana
Gloriosa rothschildiana, commonly known as the “Gloriosa Lily” or “Flame Lily,” is a striking and exotic climbing plant native to tropical regions of Africa and Asia. It is notable for its vibrant, trumpet-shaped flowers, which feature six distinctive, wavy-edged petals. These petals are typically a fiery red with yellow edges, resembling flames, hence the name. The plant has tendrils at the tips of its leaves, allowing it to climb and attach to nearby structures. It thrives in well-drained soil and warm climates, making it a popular ornamental plant in gardens and as a cut flower. However, it is important to note that all parts of the plant are toxic if ingested.
Height: 150-250cm. Flowers: June-August
