Kniphofia Alcazar
Kniphofia Alcazar. ‘Red Hot Poker’, ‘Torch Lily’. Alcazar’ is an exotic-looking variety that produces showy, tall spikes of colourful flowers. Bright red buds open into bright red-orange flowers complementing the sunny yellow stamen. Originally from South Africa, the fiery, flowers of this kniphofia make vertical accents in a sunny border and work particularly well in a planting scheme based on ‘hot’ colours. They also look great in a background of ornamental grasses. Eventual height: up to 150cm.
