Colocasia Black Magic
Colocasia esculenta Black Magic, also known as Black Elephants Ears, will create a great exotic show in your garden. When they first emerge in late spring, the large, heart-shaped leaves of this tender perennial are green, however as they mature they take on a bronze-purple flush, which intensifies as the summer progresses to a rich purple-black. they prefer a rich, moist planting area in partial shade and are just as happy in pots as they are in borders. In colder regions, overwinter as a houseplant or lift tubers and store in a frost-free area.
