Robinia pseudoacacia Frisia
This deciduous tree also known as the False Acacia ‘Frisia’, features leaves that emerge a brilliant yellow-green in spring, maturing to a rich golden hue in summer. The delicate, pinnate leaves create a fine texture that adds interest to any landscape.
In addition to its foliage, ‘Frisia’ also produces fragrant white flowers in late spring to early summer, which are attractive to bees and butterflies. As the seasons progress, the leaves retain their golden colour, providing a warm contrast against the sky.
This cultivar of the Black Locust tree is relatively fast-growing and typically reaches heights of 12 meters with a spread of up to 8 meters. Its compact, upright form makes it suitable for smaller gardens, urban landscapes, or as a standout feature tree in larger yards. ‘Frisia’ prefers full sun and well-drained soil, thriving in various soil types once established.
Overall, Robinia pseudoacacia ‘Frisia’ is prized for its stunning golden foliage, adding a touch of brightness and elegance to outdoor spaces throughout the growing season
