Fagus Sylvatica Purpurea. syn. Fagus sylvatica ‘Atropunicea’. Copper Beech is a large deciduous tree grown for its deep purple leaves, which become reddish in autumn. It also makes a fantastic hedge and will keep its dead leaves throughout the winter. Likes a sunny or partially shaded position.
