Magnolia Sunsation. A brand new variety originally bred in the USA, and is still rather rare to come by. Its upright habit makes it suitable for smaller gardens. Later flowering than many Magnolia varieties, it generally starts in late April and continues right up to early summer, so there is much less risk of frost damaging the flower buds. The large goblet-shaped flowers are primrose yellow, streaked with rose pink. Prefers a sheltered position. Magnolia Sunsation
