Decaisnea Fargesii. ‘Dead man’s fingers’, ‘Blue bean plant’ or ‘Blue sausage fruit’. The fruits of this small tree are probably its most striking feature; also known rather creepily as – Dead Man’s Fingers, Can be used as a stand-alone specimen plant. Yellow/green flowers appear in early summer, which hang from the branches, and are fragrant during the evening. The bean like fruits will form and also hang in clumps of three, looking very much like ‘dead man’s fingers’, the sweet flesh of the fruits is edible and considered a delicacy in some parts of the world
