Acer Palmatum Taylor
Acer Palmatum Taylor, also known as Taylor’s Japanese Maple, is a highly sought-after variety of the Japanese maple family. It is a stunning variegated variety which will take on a starring role throughout the growing season. This small, spreading deciduous tree will make a lovely addition to a garden area with dappled shade. It is a new cultivar, with lime green and cream foliage, which emerges in spring with a vivid salmon pink hue. As the leaves mature the pink fades but the variegation remains attractive throughout the summer. In autumn, the leaf colour changes again, turning lime green before they drop. It is not necessary to prune to maintain their natural graceful rounded shape, but dead or damaged branches can be removed in early spring. This lovely small tree is compact enough for large patio pots.
