Description
Tetrapanax papyrifer ‘Rex’
Chinese rice-paper plant. A large shrub, producing upright stems topped by very large, deeply lobed leaves, up to 1m across. If kept frost-free these are evergreen; with mild frosts the plant is deciduous, and with harder frost will die to ground level then reshoot from the roots. Creamy pompoms of flowers are produced in large sprays in autumn, followed by black fruit. Tetrapanax papyrifer Rex
