Cynara cardunculus ‘Scolymus Group’ is a dramatic perennial plant grown for its edible immature flowerheads, which are produced from July onwards. It’s also highly ornamental, bearing striking silvery, thistle-like foliage and tall flower stems topped by fat thistle buds.
