Decaisnea Fargesii. ‘Dead man’s fingers’, ‘Blue bean plant’ or ‘Blue sausage fruit’. The fruits of this small tree are probably its most striking feature; also known rather creepily as – Dead Man’s Fingers, Can be used as a stand-alone specimen plant. Yellow/green flowers appear in early summer, which hang from the branches, and are fragrant during the evening. The bean-like fruits will form and also hang in clumps of three, looking very much like ‘dead man’s fingers’, the sweet flesh of the fruits is edible and considered a delicacy in some parts of the world.
