Acer palmatum Butterfly
Acer palmatum ‘Butterfly’ is a stunning small deciduous tree known for its delicate and variegated foliage. The leaves are deeply lobed with green centres and striking creamy-white margins, resembling the delicate wings of a butterfly. The leaves are often edged with pink in springtime, and in autumn the cream areas turn deep scarlet before falling. In spring, it produces small, inconspicuous purple flowers followed by samaras (winged seeds) in the fall. ‘Butterfly’ is a slow-growing tree, reaching a height of about 4 meters, making it ideal for small gardens, containers, or as a focal point in a landscape where its unique foliage can truly shine.
