It is renowned for its striking white bark, which peels in thin layers, revealing a fresh, bright surface beneath. This tree typically grows to 12 meters in height and has an elegant, open canopy with ovate, serrated leaves that turn yellow in autumn. Betula jacquemontii is popular in ornamental landscaping due to its attractive bark and graceful form. It thrives in well-drained soils and is tolerant of a variety of conditions, though it prefers cooler climates.
